Mind Power Through Mindfulness

Your mind power will be able to effectively function with basic mindfulness exercises because you'll be in a state of awareness where distractions are let go. With these exercises, you'll be able to concentrate better and think more clearly. These exercises are easy as well.

More Mind Power In Minutes

To begin a basic mindfulness exercise, sit down and relax, breathe deeply through your nose. Close your eyes and be aware of your breath going in and out. Move your attention to each part of your body after a minute, note and identify sensations like soreness, cold, hot, and tightness. In a few minutes start listening to sounds in the room without thinking about them. Just listen.

Look around as if seeing for the first time when it feels right. Without talking about it in your mind, rest your eyes on an object for at least half a minute and examine it. Then move to another object and another while still maintaining an awareness of your body, your breathing, and any sounds. You can stay in this mindfulness state until you feel you're ready to get up.

Being aware of your immediate environment, breath, and body helps put you "in the moment." Your mind is in a very receptive state with fewer mental distractions that prevent clear thinking. You'll be more focused on important mental tasks if you do a mindful exercise first because it will give your greater mind power.

Dealing with these mind irritants is what you need to do. What you can do is make a phone call in your mind and apologize to whomever you're fighting with and maybe even take an aspirin. To get them off your mind, write things on tomorrow's list. If you feel that right now nothing can be done, then tell yourself that. Doing this exercise will not only help you feel less stressed, it will also make you more focus on the tasks at hand. You'll have more mind power today.
